Todd Schlafer
Todd Schlafer is a world-class bonsai artist and educator residing in Denver, Colorado.
After years working as an art director in the corporate world, he knew a change was needed. The art of bonsai is slow and patient; an unveiling of movement, growth, attention, and working with what Todd calls "living sculptures".
Early in his bonsai practice, Todd lost almost his entire collection of trees and considered giving up his dream. Yet he learned that no one becomes an expert through success.
Today, Todd travels across the US and abroad maintaining private bonsai collections, giving seminars, and teaching others about the joy of this craft. He continues to build out a world-class garden fascility at his residence in Colorado and teach yearly classes on styling, repotting, and bonsai practices.
